Seven Weeks Is Short for Detention

The aspiring American filmmaker whose detention in Iraq was noted in this post has been released. Most of his possessions -- U.S. passport, camera, laptop computer, Pepperdine University ring, clothes -- were lost or destroyed, but at least he has the film that he came to Iraq to shoot.

And the government claims that this is an example of the system WORKING??? An innocent man, indeed, an innocent US citizen (although it really shouldn't matter whether someone is a citizen or not), is held for 50 days, in solitary confinement, without access to a lawyer, for getting in the wrong taxi cab?
